PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. – Local tenants and housing advocates in Prince George’s County will hold a rally on Friday demanding a permanent rent stabilization law. In April 2023, the Prince George’s County Council passed legislation that capped rent increases at 3% in the county. For example, if a tenant pays $1,000 per month in rent in 2024, the landlord can only raise the rent to $1,030 per month in 2025.
