School bus fire in Fairfax County; driver makes it out

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) –A school bus driver safely made it off a school bus that caught fire Thursday morning.

Fairfax County Fire/Rescue (FCFR) posted about the incident on the X platform shorlty before 12 p.m.

In the post, FCFR shared a picture of the burned bus, which was located southbound on Fairfax County Parkway at Fox Mill Road. The post said: “The driver exited the bus prior to #FCFRD arrival.”

The post added that no one else was on the bus at the time of the fire. At the time of the post, the fire was out.
