Rev. Shelly Wood, D.Min., sat with her right knee folded into her chest, sinking into a brown leather armchair against the wall of her office. A commanding wooden desk formerly occupied much of the room, but in the early months of Wood’s time as pastor of the Old Presbyterian Meeting House, she moved her new, downsized desk to a quaint corner of the carpeted office.
