Bank burglary prompts heavy police presence in Alexandria, suspect in custody

ALEXANDRIA, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Alexandria police officers were on the scene of a bank burglary on Monday morning.

Details are limited; however, in a post on the X platform around 7:16 a.m., the Alexandria Police Department said there was a significant police presence in the 4600 block of Duke Street due to a bank burglary.

Police said the suspect was taken into custody.

At this time, it is unknown what bank was burglarized.
