Adrian Aurel Utupan is being remembered by his loved ones as beloved church-going man who brought “love, laughter, and kindness” before his unexpected death in Virginia.
The 64-year-old was killed after reportedly suffering a medical emergency and crashing into a tree near a busy Prince William County intersection, police said last week .
Investigators said that early on Thursday, Oct. 24, Utupan was driving in the area of Prince William Parkway and Minnieville Road, when he lost control of his Chevrolet Blazer in the southbound lanes of the parkway, crossed over the grassy median and struck several trees, where the truck came to rest.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Now, the community is rallying around Utupan’s friends and family, with more than $13,000 of a stated $35,000 goal raised over the course of several days.
“With profound sadness, we share the heartbreaking news of the unexpected passing of our beloved friend, member of our church, Adrian Aurel Utupan,” organizers of a GoFundMe wrote.
