Draymond Green Doesn’t Hold Back on Latest Comments About Jordan Poole

The Golden State Warriors won their fourth consecutive game after walloping the Washington Wizards on the road, 125-112, on Monday.

Steph Curry returned from a two-game absence due to an ankle injury, scoring a team-high 24 points, including 16 in the second half. With the win, the Warriors improved to 6-1.

The Wizards, meanwhile, dropped to 2-4. Jordan Poole led the team with 24 points and added three assists, three steals and four blocks, as he did the heavy lifting against his former squad.

After the game, Draymond Green was asked about Poole’s growth and gave a sharp yet insightful review.

“As a competitor, you just want to show everything you got, and I think last year he was pressing a lot,” said Green in a video shared by Wizards reporter Bijan Todd on X. “He just wanted it to happen so bad.

“This year, he’s a lot more settled in. He’s not taking the shots he was taking last year. They were bad shots.”

Of course, Green and Poole have a much-ballyhooed history, including the infamous punch when they were teammates on the Warriors. During the game on Monday, they had a playful back-and-forth , and it was the 34-year-old Green who had the last laugh.
