Police identify man killed after being struck by vehicle in Woodbridge

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The Prince William County Police Department (PWPD) said a man who died after being hit by a vehicle in Woodbridge on Nov. 3 was identified.

Police said that around 1:20 a.m., they responded to the intersection of Prince William Parkway and Lynn Street for an unconscious man on the road.

The police department’s investigation revealed that 51-year-old Salvador Ernesto Torres, of Woodbridge, was walking on Prince William Pkwy when he was hit by an unknown vehicle that continued to drive.

A driver who was passing by noticed the pedestrian in the roadway and contacted emergency services while rendering aid.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital where Torres later died.

Anyone with information about the crash is encouraged to call police.
