Police: Man found shot in Rock Creek Cemetery in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police said a man was found shot in Rock Creek Cemetery in Northwest on Saturday.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) told DC News Now that at around 4:45 p.m., officers responded to the cemetery for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, they found a man in an area of the cemetery located behind an apartment building in the 5000 block of First St. He had been shot.

He died at the scene.

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting. Police said the suspect was last seen wearing a white medical mask, a black jacket, black denim jeans and black shoes.
