Man shot after fight breaks out on Metrobus in Capitol Heights

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police said a person was shot after a fight on a Metrobus in Capitol Heights on Wednesday night.

According to the Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) on Nov. 13 around 9:15 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at the Addison Road-Seat Pleasant bus bay, in Capitol Heights.

There, police learned that five to six people were involved in an altercation before they boarded the bus. While on the bus, the fight escalated.

About 90 seconds later, the group got off the bus and a shot was fired, according to MTPD.

Police told DC News Now that a man, who had been shot, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Another man suffered a broken arm, during the fight.

The incident is under investigation.
