WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Officials said a woman was taken to the hospital after she was rescued from underneath a Metrobus in Washington, D.C. late Wednesday night.
Details remain limited; however, the DC Fire and EMD Department (DCFD) posted on X, just before midnight, crews were called to the 7th and P Streets NW area for a pedestrian crash and a person trapped under a Metrobus.
Officials said the initial call stated the woman was partially under the bus’s wheel.

Once on the scene, D.C. rescue squads were able to pull her out from under the bus.
She was taken to a trauma center with critical injuries.
DCFD told DC News Now that it is unclear how the woman got stuck under the bus.
As of Thursday morning, her condition is unknown.
