WASHINGTON – Big Lots Inc. struck a deal to save hundred of stores from closing after filing for bankruptcy in September. On Friday, the retailer had announced that it would have to liquidate all of its location after restructuring plans fell through. But a last-minute deal with Gordon Brothers Retail Partners LLC and Variety Wholesalers Inc. will save as many as 400 Big Lots locations from closing.
