The chaos unfolded around 7:45 a.m. Sunday, April 27, during the Pikes Peek race in Rockville, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.
Officers were first called to the intersection of Sommerville Drive and Redland Road after getting a report of a Jeep Wrangler heading straight toward runners near Metro Access Road and Crabbs Branch Road, police said.
