SUITLAND, Md. – A man suspected of shooting and killing his girlfriend early Monday morning is in the hospital with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The victim in this case is 36-year-old Neri Moreno Gratini of Suitland. The suspect is hospitalized with injuries considered life-threatening.
On April 28, 2025, at approximately 1:55 am, officers responded to a home in the 3900 block of Bexley Place in Suitland. The victim was located inside of the residence suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene
Based on information gathered on the scene, a description of the suspect and his vehicle was obtained. At approximately 2:25 am, Oxon Hill Division IV officers located the suspect’s SUV in the area of northbound 495 and Oxon Hill Road. Officers activated their emergency equipment and conducted a traffic stop and ordered the suspect to exit the SUV. When he did not, with the assistance of Forest Heights Police, officers approached the SUV and observed the suspect in the driver’s seat with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
