PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — The trial of Johnny Turcious got off to a late start Tuesday, and for a while, it looked like it might not wrap up at all.
Turcious is facing murder and attempted murder charges in connection with the shooting that killed Jeremy Pooh-Carceres. Jeremy and his mother were walking in Langley Park when they got caught in the middle of a shootout. While his mother survived, Jeremy was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
In court, tensions rose when the defense accused the prosecution of withholding a key piece of evidence: a video interview with Nilson Granados-Trejo, one of Turcious’ alleged accomplices. The defense said the state was supposed to hand it over back in January…
