DC man sentenced to 15 years in prison for 2 shootings at Starburst Plaza

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A D.C. man was sentenced last week to 180 months in prison for two different shootings at Starburst Plaza in 2024.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia said that 29-year-old Renard Levenberry was responsible for two shootings at Starburst Plaza.

According to evidence, Levenberry was in the plaza at 1501 Maryland Ave. NE on June 13, 2024, when he robbed someone during an attempted drug trade. The victim tried to follow Levenberry, but he shot the victim in the leg.
