OXON HILL, MD (DC News Now) — If seafood is on the menu for Memorial Day weekend, prepare to pay more. From picking Maryland crabs to shrimp cocktail, some area restaurants in Prince George’s County say they are feeling the pinch because of tariffs.
John Lee is the owner of Today’s Crab House in Oxon Hill. He was forced to make tough decisions and raise prices on Shrimp and Crabs.

“We hate to do it, and we have a few options: decrease the portion of meat size or raise the price, and we don’t want to decrease the portion because customers are used to good portion sizes. So the only way to combat this is raise the price,” Lee said.
Due to tariffs, the cost of shrimp at the restaurant has increased by twenty percent. It was four dollars and 80 cents per pound, but now it is five dollars and 60 cents. Lee says crab prices are also on the rise, costing 30 dollars per pound…
