Woodbridge man stole car hours after being released from jail, police say

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A Woodbridge man is back in custody after he reportedly stole a car and broke into a home hours after being released from jail, the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said.

Minutes after 7 p.m. on May 27, FCPD responded to a burglary at a home in the 9500 block of Millgate Place in Burke. There, a woman reported that an unknown man was in her house and she armed herself with a weapon, leading the suspect to flee, driving away.

Police found the car he fled in nearby and arrested a suspect.
