Fairfax County police searching for 3 involved in burglary, attempted burglary

McLEAN, Va. (DC News Now) — Detectives with the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects they believe to be connected to a McLean burglary.

FCPD said that on May 15, around 5:15 p.m., officers responded to a burglary report in the 6500 block of Ivy Hill Drive. The caller told police that unknown suspects forced their way into their home and stole valuables before escaping.

Detectives believe that the burglary took place around 3 p.m.

That same day, an attempted burglary was reported in the 2000 block of Powhatan Street. Residents who were getting back in the evening saw that someone had tried to gain entry to their home — police said the suspects knocked on the house’s front door for “several minutes” and tried to get in through a back window.
