WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A D.C. man was sentenced to 16 years in prison for a series of armed robberies that prosecutors said targeted construction workers in the Trinidad neighborhood.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia said that Franco Rawlings Jr., 24, was charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of robbery and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm. He pleaded guilty in August 2024 to the charges.

Court documents said that Rawlings and a co-conspirator worked together to rob Hispanic construction workers (whom they called “Migos” in their texts) at gunpoint.
