WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Two D.C. men pleaded guilty to carjacking and firearm offenses stemming from two carjackings in December 2024 and January 2025 in the Northeast area. One firearm confiscated was a ghost gun — an untraceable self-made gun, often created using 3D printing.
On Dec. 28, 2024, around 4:45 a.m., a victim was parked in their Jeep SUV in the 6100 block of Eastern Avenue, Northeast, when they were approached by Erick Alvarenga, 19, and Malik Kearney, 20.
The two reportedly ordered the victim to get out of the car and give them the keys. The victim complied with the demand, and the men drove away from the scene.
