Police: Suspect steals packages off porches in Fairfax County, flees on electric scooter

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Detectives in Fairfax County are looking for a person they say stole packages off porches in Annandale and Springfield before riding away on a scooter last week.

At around 10:30 a.m. on June 17, officers responded to the 6300 block of Alberta St. in Springfield for a reported theft. There, someone told officers that a person they did not know had stolen a package from outside their home after it was delivered, and then fled on an electric Scooter, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

A few hours later, just minutes after 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the 3900 block of Shelley Lane in Annandale for a similar report.
