DC Police searching for suspect in Congress Heights double shooing

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) released footage on Saturday of a person believed to be involved in a double shooting that happened last weekend in Southeast D.C.

At around 6:45 p.m. on June 22, MPD said officers were at the scene of a separate shooting when several shots rang out near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Mellon Street SE.

According to a police report, several people were running toward Malcolm X Avenue, with one victim saying he’d been shot. MPD said he’d been suffering from a gunshot wound to his hip…
