Missing man’s body recovered from Potomac River

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — D.C. Police’s search for a missing man ended in tragedy after his body was recovered from the Potomac River.

The extensive search for 38-year-old Nigel Franklin began on June 28 after he was reportedly last seen in the 4900 block of Canal Road NW. At the time, he was wearing blue/yellow shorts and an army green hat.

Just days later, the Metropolitan Police Department’s (MPD) Harbor Patrol said it found Franklin dead in the Potomac River.
