WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A jury found six people guilty for their involvement in a shooting that killed three people and left three others hurt during Labor Day weekend nearly four years ago.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) said Erwin Dubose, Kamar Queen, Damonta Thompson, William Johnson Lee, Mussay Rezene and Toyia Johnson were all convicted for their roles in the deadly incident.
As outlined in court documents obtained by DC News Now, an officer with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) was in the area of 7th and Kennedy streets NW just after 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 4, 2021, when he heard the sound of gunshots.
