WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Ben’s Chili Bowl announced plans on Sunday to temporarily close its doors along U Street for renovations.
The Washington, D.C. staple is scheduled to close Monday, July 14, to make essential repairs and upgrades. This is the first major repair to the historic building in over six decades, and construction is expected to last for four months.
Ben’s Chili Bowl noted that renovations will focus on preserving the integrity and heritage of the space while ensuring that the restaurant remains a welcoming and safe gathering place for future generations.
