Man accused of shooting, killing girlfriend during argument in Prince George’s County

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A man is accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend over the Fourth of July weekend during an argument, according to police.

Woman found shot to death in Prince George’s County apartment

On July 5, around 3:35 p.m., officers responded to a shooting inside an apartment in the 700 block of Stretford Way in the Landover area. Upon arrival, police found 29-year-old Sharita Cristwell of Bladensburg, who was pronounced dead on the scene.

DC police investigating shooting in Congress Heights; 1 injured

Police identified the suspect as Cristwell’s boyfriend, 32-year-old Harry Lindsey of Landover.

The preliminary investigation determined that Lindsey allegedly shot his girlfriend during an argument, police said. He is charged with first- and second-degree murder.
