DC police investigating fatal Northeast shooting

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Northeast D.C. on Friday.

Police say officers received reports at 12:15 a.m. of a disturbance between roommates in the 100 block of Fort Drive NE.

There, a man, later identified as 41-year-old Allen Sharpshire, was found suffering from an “unknown injury” and was pronounced dead by DC Fire and EMS.
