Southeast DC residents frustrated with crime after recent shootings speak out

WASHINGTON (7News) — What occurred on V Street in Southeast, D.C., on Wednesday is something that’s all too familiar for people who live here.

“Same old story,” said one man who didn’t want to be identified. “Lots of rounds fired. I heard dozens. Dozens.”

That man pointed 7News to a property in the 1500 block of V Street that’s the source of constant problems. A spot where our cameras spotted the back window of a red Volkswagen shattered by gunfire…
