Metro Transit police looking for suspect accused of assaulting bus driver

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) is looking for the person the department says assaulted a bus driver last week.

MTPD said the driver was on the D70 Metrobus route serving the 2500 Connecticut Avenue NW area on Wednesday, July 16, at around 11 a.m. when the assault happened.

A photo of the suspect, who is believed to have assaulted the driver with a gun, was released.
