WASHINGTON (DC New Now) — As President Donald Trump addresses the District’s image and homelessness issue through executive orders and law enforcement action, a municipal task force is quietly and diligently cleaning the city’s streets.
Since the fall of 2024, the District’s Department of Public Works (DPW) has teams of people working daily to maintain neighborhoods and streets. The crews remove graffiti, pick up litter and trim branches in public spaces.
