DC man found guilty in 2024 road rage murder of Uber Eats driver

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A federal jury found a D.C. man guilty Thursday for the 2024 killing of an Uber Eats driver during a road rage incident, according to the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia.

The USAO states that Rodney Baggott, 58, was convicted of first-degree murder while armed-premeditated, possession of a firearm during a crime of violence, and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

According to court documents, around 4 p.m. on Jan. 30, 2024, Baggott was driving his then-girlfriend near the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Q Street NW when a driver, later identified as Rasheek Abdullah, passed him on the left side as he was making a right turn.

Court documents say Baggott became “enraged” that Abdullah had cut him off and pulled up next to him, shooting him in the neck. Abdullah later died from his injuries…
