DC mother’s car shot up three different times in Northeast neighborhood shootouts

WASHINGTON (7News) — A massive shootout between two groups in Northeast D.C. put innocent families, kids, churches and homes in danger earlier this week. On Tuesday, bullets hit every corner of the community near 15th and Benning Road and the impacts are costing local victimized families financially and personally.

7News spoke to a mother who is just trying to make ends meet for herself and her child. She said this is now the third time her vehicle has been caught in the crossfire of shootouts and hit, costing her money she doesn’t have.

The video of the shooting from Wednesday night sounds like fireworks at the National Mall, but it’s not. Police said it’s more than 140 shots fired between two groups across a northeast community filled with families…
