25-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Prince George’s County Hit-and-Run; Both Drivers Fled Scene

SEAT PLEASANT, Md. — Authorities in Prince George’s County are searching for two drivers involved in a tragic hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of 25-year-old Antone Brooks of Upper Marlboro. The fatal crash occurred on July 26, 2025, in the 9000 block of Central Avenue in Seat Pleasant.

At approximately 9:45 p.m., officers from the Seat Pleasant Police Department responded to reports of a pedestrian struck in the eastbound lanes of Central Avenue. When they arrived on the scene, they found Brooks severely injured in the roadway. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries on July 27, 2025.

Both Drivers Fled the Scene

A preliminary investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit (CARU) indicates that Brooks was struck by two separate vehicles, neither of which stopped to render aid or call for help.

Investigators believe one of the vehicles involved may be a white compact sedan, but additional vehicle details are still under investigation…
