Montgomery County police on Thursday said a person with a fake gun prompted a brief lockdown over active-shooter fears at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Authorities said there is no threat to the community after officers took the suspect into custody shortly before 10:30 a.m. on the 8900 block of Rockville Pike in Bethesda, Maryland.
