Southeast DC residents demand action after nights of gunfire, neighborhood unrest

WASHINGTON (7News) — Residents in a Southeast D.C. neighborhood said they’ve endured several nights of gunfire, with one man being shot on Aug. 2.

Neighbors also said cars were hit, and on Tuesday, a spent casing remained on the street.

“They hit everything else on the ground but what they were trying to hit,” said neighbor Andre Thomas. “You know, eventually it’s going to hit one of these kids.”…
