WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a violent armed carjacking that left a man injured in Northeast Washington late last month.
The Incident
According to police, the carjacking occurred on Sunday, July 27, around 9:27 p.m., in the 3700 block of Minnesota Avenue NE.
Investigators say the victim was sitting in his parked car when two armed men approached. Both suspects pulled out handguns and ordered the man to step out of the vehicle.
After complying, the victim was struck in the head with a pistol by one of the suspects before the pair fled the scene in his car.
