Prince George’s County Police arrests man in Oxon Hill fatal shooting of a DC man

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md (7News) — A man suspected of killing a 31-year-old man in an Oxon Hill shooting was arrested and charged on Thursday, Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) officials said.

PGPD arrested 45-year-old Daniel William Jackson of Washington, DC, for the murder of Deon Damien of Washington, DC, that happened on July 12, 2025. At approximately 8:20 p.m., PGPD officers responded to a shooting in the 5100 block of Indian Head Highway. Officers said they located Thomas outside suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on the scene.

In July, PGPD released surveillance video pictures and announced a reward of $25,000, leading to the arrest of Jackson. He remains in custody on a no-bond status and is charged with first and second-degree murder…
