DC police searching for persons, vehicle of interest in Southeast robbery

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police are looking for two persons of interest after a robbery in Southeast left a victim without their belongings, including a pickaxe.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that around 11:50 a.m. on Aug. 15, two suspects approached the victim in the 3000 block of Nelson Place SE.

MPD said that one of the suspects took a pickaxe from the victim’s truck before confronting them. The two individuals then threatened the victim, forcibly taking their belongings before escaping in a black SUV.

Police said that nearby cameras captured images of the people and the car that MPD is now looking for.
