Washington’s Metropolitan Police Department is currently probing a deadly shooting that transpired in the southeast quadrant of the city. This tragic event unfolded in the early hours of Tuesday, as police were summoned to the scene of the crime, according to a press release on the official MPD website.
The incident, reported at about 12:25 a.m., drew officers from the Sixth District to the 300 block of Anacostia Road, Southeast. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim, identified as Franck Foute Mohdjiom, aged 31. Found unconscious and breathing, yet suffering from a gunshot wound, the man resided in Southeast, DC, as confirmed by the MPD in their report.
Despite the rapid intervention of DC Fire and EMS, who promptly transported Mohdjiom to a nearby hospital, his injuries proved fatal.
