WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Families of a DC public school were notified on Thursday after emergency services were called on a student after they consumed a controlled substance.
DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to Eastern High School just before 11:40 a.m. on Aug. 28.
According to school officials, administrators were notified that a student became ill after allegedly consuming a “food item” containing a controlled substance. The student was evaluated by the school nurse and emergency services.
