Matt Cahill, a producer for Audacy sports “106.7 The Fan” WJFK-FM Washington, DC’s “Sports Junkies” morning show, was arrested on domestic violence charges over the holiday weekend, according to authorities and court documents.
According to a report in the Washington Times, the sheriff’s office of Virginia’s Loudoun County confirmed that Cahill was taken into custody Aug. 31 on misdemeanor charges of assault and battery of a family member. Cahill was placed in Leesburg, VA’s county jail, according to the state’s judicial database.
The sheriff’s office had no further comment due to the nature of the charges, noting that it is a “domestic matter.” A spokesperson from Audacy confirmed that Cahill has been “placed on leave” from WJFK but declined to comment further…
