$150,000 Reward Offered in Montgomery County Letter Carrier Robbery Investigation

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in connection with the armed robbery of a United States Postal Service letter carrier earlier this month here in Montgomery County.

According to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), the incident occurred on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at approximately 12:03 p.m. near 14214 Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring. Investigators say the suspect approached the letter carrier while armed with a black semi-automatic pistol.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 18 to 25 years old, 6 feet tall, with locs. He was reportedly wearing khaki pants and a long-sleeve shirt at the time of the robbery.
