FAIRFAX, Va. (DC News Now) — A 19-year-old was taken into custody last week after he allegedly ran toward a person and threatened them with a knife in Fairfax.
On Sept. 2, just before 7:45 p.m., officers with the city of Fairfax Police Department were called to the 4000 block of Gateway Drive for the report of a weapons violation.

There, police learned that the victim was walking with their dog when the man got out of the elevator, ran toward them with a knife and threatened them. The suspect, later identified as Gervin Cruz-Corea, 19, then left the area.
