Woman killed after being hit by car in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A 61-year-old woman has died after being struck by a car in Northwest D.C. on Friday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Police said shortly before 9 a.m., officers responded to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian in the intersection of 13th Street and Harvard Street, NW.

There, a woman, later identified as Rosa Cabezas, of Southeast D.C., was found unconscious and not breathing. She was transported to the hospital, where she later died.
