DC man arrested after threatening to shoot neighbor, dog

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A 74-year-old man was arrested on October 10 for allegedly threatening to shoot his neighbor and her dog, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) detailed.

According to police, officers responded shortly before 8 a.m. after a woman reported that a man had approached her and her dog on the 3400 block of 23rd St., SE, threatening harm.

During the encounter, the woman said the man first claimed he was going to shoot her and then went inside his home, grabbed his machete, and continued threatening her.
