WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — Capital Area Food Bank is holding free food distribution drives for federal workers and contractors impacted by the government shutdown.
Around 220 people came to Friday morning’s event at Urban Outreach in Southeast D.C., according to organizers. Everyone went home with produce and shelf-stable food, as well as toiletries.
