A Southeast D.C. mother is asking for the public’s help in finding her 12-year-old son, who went missing Sunday morning after leaving home to walk the family dog.
Demetri Montgomery, who has autism, was last seen near the 5500 block of C Street SE around 7 a.m. His mother, Cynthia Walton, said he left to walk the family’s white pit bull, Skyla, but never returned.
“I’ve been looking for him since about seven this morning,” Walton said. “I’ve been driving around, putting out flyers, passing flyers out to people walking down the street to see if anybody’s seen him.”…
