On November 7, 2024, a student at North Point High School was found with several vaping devices containing THC. A school administrator detected the smell of cannabis in a bathroom. The school resource officer issued the student a juvenile civil citation for possession of cannabis. The student also faces disciplinary action under the Charles County Public Schools code of conduct.
