21-Year-Old Victim Fatally Stabbed in Southeast D.C., MPD Seeks Witnesses for Leads

The Metropolitan Police Department is in the midst of an investigation into a stabbing that turned fatal in the Southeast area of the city.

Details have been released about the incident, which took place on the evening of November 8, 2025: at around 8:35 p.m., when a 911 call prompted DC Fire and EMS to rush to the 1300 block of Morris Road, Southeast, there they found a young individual suffering from what appeared to be a serious wound to the upper body, and consequently, the victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, the individual was still conscious and breathing during transport.

The person was suffering from stab wounds. As the Seventh District officers were called in to investigate the scene, despite extensive lifesaving efforts, the victim, later identified as 21-year-old Contee Cross from Southeast D.C., succumbed to the injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital, according to a release from the MPD…
