Red Line disrupted after person hit by train in DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Red Line train services were disrupted Wednesday morning after a person was struck by a train at Rhode Island Avenue in D.C.

DC Fire and EMS said crews removed the victim from under the train, and they were taken to the trauma center for treatment. Their condition is currently unknown.

Details remain limited; however, the Metro announced on X that trains are currently single-tracking between the Rhode Island Avenue and NoMa-Gallaudet stations following the incident…
